WELCOME TO MOUNT OLYMPUS!
Where the Gods play games of Fate.
Today's game is LARGE SCALE BATTLES.

Themis, Godess of Justice has gathered the Gods together to wage giant wars on her scales. To create a battle large enough to be worthy of legend! But the scales must always be in balance.

Can you provide such a battle for their satisfaction?
Are fate and justice truly blind?

Gameplay

You are tasked with creating a battle of epic scale. You must pit monsters against each other, using the cards drawn from your deck, and place them on the Scales of Justice. Let the two sides fight to gain more resources, which can be used to play and purchase more cards. Reach a total weight level of 50 whilst keeping the balance to win the game!

1. Play Cards

Drag and drop a card from your hand onto the scales of justice to play it.
However, you can only play a card if you have enough mana.
The mana cost is displayed in the yellow circle in the top right of the card.
The amount of mana you have available is displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Unit Cards

A card that has stats (strength, weight and hitpoints) displayed at the bottom is a unit card.
Playing a unit card results in the displayed unit spawning on the side of the scales where you played it.
Good units can only be played on the left side, evil units only on the right. Neutral units can be played on either side.
Units add their weight to their side of the scales and they stay in play either until they are defeated or until the game ends.
Use your mouse to hover over any unit in play to see its attack, weight and current hitpoints.
Or hold Left Control to show the stats of all units.

Strength Strength The amount of damage a unit will deal with its attack.
Weight Weight Determines how heavy the unit is. Counts towards the game's goal of 50 total weight. Also counts towards the weight on the unit's side of the scales and might bring imbalance!
Hitpoints Hitpoints The amount of damage a unit can take until it is defeated.

Spell Cards

Cards that have no stats displayed are spell cards.
Spells have an immediate, one-time effect on the target you choose.

2. Combat

If there are units on both sides of the scales, you may have them engage in combat by clicking the "Fight" button in the bottom right corner!

Starting with the units on the lighter side of the scales (the "High Ground"), each unit will make an attack against a random unit on the other side. Attacks grant you two types of resource:

Mana Each individual attack grants you 1 mana, regardless of the amount of damage dealt. Mana is used to pay for cards you play.
Blood Each point of damage dealt during combat grants you 1 blood. Blood is used to purchase booster packs in the shop to expand your deck.

If a unit kills another unit, the killer will level up, which grants them +1 weight and additional strength and hitpoints depending on the unit.
The defeated unit is removed from play and its weight is subtracted from the scales. Combat is over after each unit has made an attack. You automatically draw a new hand of five cards.

3. Expand your Deck

You may visit the shop at any time by clicking the "Shop" button is the bottom right corner.

Here you can spend your blood to buy booster packs.
Each booster pack contains five random cards. After opening the pack, you may select which ones you want to add to your deck (they go into your discard pile first).
Once you have selected all the cards you want, you can click "Trash Cards" to trash the remaining cards of the booster and to get ready for your next purchase.
Spend your blood wisely - booster packs become more expensive with each pack you buy!

Amazing concept!

I also did this "At the start of the game, bunch of balanced blemmaye fight each other until you can afford some booster packs - after which you can go ham."

And on first pack got Siren and (forgot name) switch sides card. Game ending combo.

Maybe some kind of timer would help, ex incremental goals, need to reach Weight 10 before turn N, then reach Weight 20 before turn N*2 , etc

In any case, Great Innovative game, would love to talk about developing it further

Thanks so much for playing and for the comment!
You are right - there are definitely ways to "cheese" the game a little.
And you are not necessarily rewarded for taking risks.
I have considered adding incremental milestones to hit like the weight goals you describe or blood prices to be paid. Or disruptive unit spawns and spells (cast by other Gods) that could be telegraphed in advance similar to Slay the Spire's enemy intentions. But ultimately for this first version decided against it for time reasons and perhaps to keep it more casual.

All of these sound like a step in the right direction, but especially the disruptive actions of other Gods, seems like a perfect fit, mechanically and thematically, definitely the way to go!

Any plans of implementation?

Amazing game!! Had a great time with it and would love to see it develop into a full fledged game

Really love the concept of battling on both sides. And the premis to create an "entertaining" fight for the roman/greek gods fits perfectly!

Tough game, but was pretty fun! You've got to really pay attention to your units, I won by trying to keep them healthy then dropping a few collosi

At the start of the game, I reccomend playing slow by having a bunch of balanced blemmaye fight each other until you can afford some booster packs - after which you can go ham.

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Pretty good strategy guide for new players too ;)

Could you make a downloadable version for PC, please?

Great

It's amazing game

Thanks for you

What do you do, if you've run out of cards & you can't afford more?

When you have no more cards in your draw pile then your discard pile is shuffled and becomes your draw pile.
If there are no units on one side and you have no options to play a unit onto that side, then it's game over.
