Hello fellow Garden Gnomes!

Welcome to Cardening!

In this game you must play plant cards and water them to earn money. Once you have played through your deck you progress to the next level - if you have earned enough money! In between levels there is a shop where you can buy more cards to add to your deck.

Master these basics and unlock 4 brand new stages containing more cards and mechanics! (If you are curious, have a look at our devlog!)

We hope that you enjoy playing our game as much as we enjoyed making it! Comments and feedback are very much appreciated.

And now - Happy Cardening!

Controls

You can Move around using W / A / S / D or Arrow keys.

You can Move and Place a Card by dragging and dropping it (click and hold LMB) from your hand onto the playground.

Press Space / RMB or use the Scroll Wheel to Rotate a Card while you are hovering over it or dragging it.

Hover over a card with your mouse for a short duration to display a tooltip with information about that card.

How to play

When the level starts your deck is shuffled and you draw your hand card(s).

You can drag Plant Cards (green border) from your hand and drop them on empty tiles (the areas with dotted outlines). You can water already placed Plant Cards by dragging Water Cards (blue border) onto them. When all water drop icons on a Card are filled, the Card gets harvested and sold for its current value.

Each Plant Card has a base value in form of gold coins. Placing Cards with matching numbers next to each other increases their values. You can rotate cards using the space bar while dragging them to align the numbers in the way you like.

The level ends once you have placed all your Cards. You win the level, if you have earned enough coins. The indicator on the right hand side is showing your progress.

These are the basics that should get you through the first stage! More mechanics are added to the game in later stages. We hope that you can figure them out just by playing and reading the card's tooltips! Please let us know in the comments if anything should be unclear!

can we have a print and play version of it? i can format it for you if i could have the asset

Hey,  thanks for the offer!
We have thought about making a physical version,  but the game as it is only fully functions digitally.
So we would really need to come up with a different set of rules that works in the physical world before Print&Play is an option. I like the idea though!

It took me three months on and off to beat level three, but I did it

This would be a lot more pleasant if I could use the scroll wheel or right mouse button to turn the cards, but great game in general <3

Great idea! Right mouse button and scroll wheel can now be used to rotate the cards :)

Thanks for playing!

Win with 52 coins in the last level! The game is interesting and the art is awesome! It reminds me of miracal merchant. I think the strategy can be improved more as start from level 3 when you earn some coins, the game gets too easy and not that challenge. I think if later levels would require more coins, or card price keeps increase, or add more challenge items(insects, sunny day that require more water) in the later levels would make it much more fun!

overall a great game! I'd love to see it get improved and released, can be a great mobile game!

Found a bug! The coin counter required for levels and the coin counter used for buying in shops are the same and don't reset after the shop. Meaning if you get all coins on the first level and don't spend any, you will automatically win every level after that

Fixed in the upcoming version of the game. We will seperate the piggy bank savings from the level coin counter. Thanks for reporting.

How do you get the level to end? After placing both the plant cards and watering them and getting the money, nothing happens.

There is a small button in the bottom right corner of the screen coming up. Saying something like "Go to next level". oHoodie already made it bigger, but we have to wait until rating is over before we can publish the improvements.

Please, make a downloadable version for PC.

Will do after the voting! (don't think I'm allowed till then)
